Notes of conversation with Comm. of Inquiry 27 Dec. 1823.

6 written sides but incomplete. The document is not signed but is in the hand of John Fairbairn.

A complex document requiring detailed knowledge of the conditions pertaining at the time. The content is concerned with the condition of the settlers, their dealings with the law, the difficulties in which they found themselves and their inability to obtain redress and better conditions for themselves.
Pages tanned but very legible and no major loss.
