This extremely rare compilation, in the original Nederlands, includes the constitution as well as the resolutions, regulations and ordonnances of the Orange Free Republic published between 1854 and 1867.
Although unpaginated sequentially, the compilation runs to some four hundred pages. The date of the binding is unknown; the cloth-boards are in two shades of blue, with the title printed in black on the spine.
The first 14 leaves are printed on inferior stock; these include the title page and the text of the constitution; some of these are chipped at the head and most are stained or sunned.
Thereafter, with few exceptions, the letterpress, printed on undiscoloured white laid paper and often not perfectly made ready, remains in original condition.
