Frontispiece portrait and several illustrations and plates throughout, all complete as called for. Deckle-edged text-block.

Random foxing throughout.

A biography of Barney Barnato written in a conversational style. The author met Barnato whilst doing a column for a newspaper, so this is a contemporary personal impression rather than one later researched from letters and personal papers. Includes reminiscences by Louis Cohen.
