No slipcase. Pale-green linen boards, gilt embossed to the upper panel and spine. Plain endpapers, 212 pp of text profusely illustrated with b/w woodcuts by the many famous artists who worked with the Golden Cockerel Press.
The three-part catalogue lists 181 titles and there are also essays by some of the Press's partners and contributors.
This copy is particularly valuable for its more than two hundred pencil marginal notes by the first owner. The notes cover the period from 1974 (when the catalogue was published) to 1979. They give the dates of auctions of Chanticleer books and the prices realised.
