First published in 1901 by the United States Department of War, (responsible for the Army), as the 'Boer War Operations of the British and Boer Armies' .The two authors were U.S.observers attached to the opposing forces. Captain Slocum(8th Calvary) was with the English and Captain Reichman (7th infantry) with the Boers. Both submitted reports on operations and the resulting document is the official U.S. account of Operations.
