1.Augustine E. COSTELLO. Our Firemen. A History of the New York Fire Departments … An Authorized Publication. New York: Augustine E. Costello, author & publisher, 1887. Octavo (9 5/8 x 6 3/4in; 244 x 172mm). Pp. [i-vi, i-]xxii, [1]-1112. Frontispiece, illustrations. Original blue cloth, blocked in gilt and black (rubbed, scuffed, repair to front inner hinge)

2.William Henry WHITMORE. [Wrapper title:] An Historical Summary of Fires in Boston. [?Boston: 1871? or later]. Octavo. 12pp. Stitched, but apparently extracted from a sammelband? (Somewhat soiled).

3.Rev. Norwood Damon. [Wrapper title:] Memorial of the Boston Veteran Firemen’s Association … Organized April 9th. 1878… Fourth Edition. Boston: published by request, 1883. Octavo, pp.[1-]4-47[-48]. (light vertical crease). Blue wrappers (worn, upper cover detached and chipped, repair to lower cover). Provenance: ibscribed ‘From A.H. Hoyt / 16 Marlboror St / Boston.

4.James M. GOODWILLIE (1835-1897). 1p. ALS on ‘Cambridge Veteran Fireman’s Association’ headed paper to Susan Ann Thayer Jennings (1831-1905), the wife of S.W. Jennings, offering official condolences following the death of her husband, dated 28 October 1895.  1 page, folio (14 ¾ x 8 5/8in; 375 x 219mm).
