Olive-green cloth-boards, gilt to the upper panel and spine, black plain endpapers, xvi + frontispiece + 387 pp of text, 14 appendixes and index + folding colour map + 2 pp of publisher's announcements.

CONDITION. The boards are rubbed and bumped, but the gilt on the upper panel is bright. The spine is sunned, with a chip towards the bottom. Both endpapers are cracked but the binding remains fine. The six-fold colour map, between the text and the appendixes, is unmarked and fine. The contents are complete, unmarked except for some light pencil on a few early pages, and undiscoloured.

Better than a reference or reading copy, but would benefit from light repairs.
