In this, the last of Sayers's Lord Peter Whimsey books, published 80 years ago, Whimsey gets married.
This copy has been rebound in Fontein's library style - black Skivertex boards with gilt spine-titling and new plain endpapers and head- and tail-bands.
The flyleaf and half-title are lightly foxed and there are small brown stains to the top of the last two leaves. A recent liquid stain to the top of the front spine-edge has also affected 3 x 4 cm of the new back endpaper. The contents are otherwise complete, unmarked and undiscoloured.
