How it works

Register

The author traveled the breadth of Canada from East to West, reporting his observations and his adventures railroading and on the trail. He describes Winnipeg, Vancouver, Toronto, and other cities; his trip through the Prairie Provinces during the harvest; battling mosquitos in the thick forests, crossing the Rockies, fishing for trout, and with a chapter on his hunt for bighorn sheep. Well illustrated. Uncommon to find this title in the original pictorial cloth. Cloth edge rubbed, gilt titles and sheep vignette bright. Crease to corners of the odd page. Railroad vignette on upper board quite legible. Original endpapers. Well illustrated with full page plates, text drawings, and folding map. Scattered foxing, heavier to prelims.
