This is a genuine leaf from a Book of Hours, a Prayer Book for lay use in private or family devotion.  It was written by hand c. 1500.  Latin text written in red and blue with versal initials in gold leaf.  From a book dedicated to, and perhaps owned by Catherine de Medici.  Size: 6 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches.
