Orange cloth boards, black lettering on the spine, name of previous owner in ink on front end paper. Dust jacket has some fading, wear on the edges of the spine and tears top and bottom of the spine. Some fish moth damage to under cover of the  dust-jacket

The diary originated during the Anglo - Boer War in the Irene concentration camp where Henrietta Armstrong volunteered to work for six months. The diary gives a clear picture of camp life in all its facets. Few documents have emerged from concentration camps and this is a valuable , both for Historians of Anglo Boer war collectors.
