283pp. Contents clean. Front board appears to have suffered some damp damage at one time. This copy is signed by General Christiaan De Wet at the top of the front end paper. De Wet's signature is very uncommon. General De Wet, perhaps the most famous of the Boer generals, had a legendary, almost mythical, reputation during the war for being a brilliant tactician, guerrilla leader, and the most elusive of the Boer Generals.
Included is a copy of "At the Foot of the Koppie" by George Klerck with a dedication inscription by the author to General Kemp. Jan Christoffel Greyling Kemp (1872-1946) was a Boer officer, general and politician who distinguished himself in many engagements during the Anglo-Boer War. The town Jan Kempdorp was named after him.
