A good copy in contemporary tan half leather with gilt and tooled spine, spine label, and leather corners over marbled paper boards.
Bound by Saul Solomon & Co., Cape Town. Wear to extremities and heavy wear to rear board, including small loss at the top edge and worn through the marbled paper at the board center.
The contents are clean with no spotting. There are two inked owner names on the front pastedown, one dated "Aug. 1908" and one "25/9/43". There is also inked notation dated "14 April 1883" at the top of the title page. The first two end-papers have been pasted together.
