This copy carries the autograph message "With best wishes from the Chief Minister Chief L L Sebe 15/9/78" and the signatures of the conference chairman, D A Etheredge, then an executive director of the Anglo American Corporation, whose Group Chairman's Fund was one of the 21 sponsors of the conference, and the conference proceedings editor.
Four-colour printed drawn-on paper covers and thread-sewn sections flush trimmed with the covers. Apart from some bumping of the cover corners, the copy is clean and complete. The 208 pp inlude the names of the steering committee and the lists of sponsors and participants.
The keynote presentation was by Professor G R Bozzoli, a former principal and vice-chancellor of the University of the Witwatersrand.
