Noted writer\'s reply to twelve questions posed to her by the editor of the Transvaal Leader, regarding her opinions on the National Convention and the question of Union in South Africa. This is the first (book) edition of this important work and is inscribed by the author to \"Alfred, with Olive\'s love, De Aar, May 5th 1900\" - a strange inscription, since she was addressing a meeting at Graaff-Reinet at about that time, and only wrote the book in 1910; only living in de Aar after her husband opened a law practice there after the end of the Boer War. The book is in somewhat timeworn paper-covered boards, with some staining along top and bottom edge of covers; the pages have been roughly slit, but otherwise the item is in good original condition.
