Please note that this copy is the ordinary standard edition that has been bound in the same style as the collector's edition. It is assumed that master craftsman Peter Carstens bound up this copy as a sample binding prior to the date of publication to show the publishers a range of different coloured bindings to select from. A few other bindings in different colours are known to exist.
Housed in a brown cloth covered slip case with hand marbled paper and leather trim to match the brown leather spine with a red title label and marbled paper covered boards. The slip case differs from the one that was issued as it has a pictorial in-set on the upper side.
Light brown coloured end papers. 256 pages, full page colour plates, some black and white drawings and distribution maps.
