This book is a "Who's Who" of the Boer War, a superbly put together document listing all military personnel involved in the Boer War, with a subsection covering the period 1854 to 1899. Hoofaanvoerders, Generaals, Kommandante, Veldkornette, Korpsoffisiere, etc... most of which have an accompanying black and white photograph; 234pp. Book condition: good plus: laminated pictorial boards good (rubbed), some surface marks, corners bumped, 1/4 inch tear at foot of spine. Pictorial paste-down end-papers very good; owner signature on verso of f.f.e.p., binding good, text very good with no markings. Page edges slightly spotted. An extremely scarce book, first edition.
