The South African General Mission served the British forces during the Boer war, providing medical, spiritual, and other assistance. Their story commences with the Jameson Raid, then following chapters dealing with Modder River & Magersfontein, Paardeberg and General Cronje, Kimberley & Bloemfontein, Ladysmith, and mounted missionaries riding among the Cape Mounted Riflemen.
