Classic of hunting in East Central Africa. The author originally went as a member of the Livingstone Search Expedition, following numerous reports that the missionary had been murdered, which were, of course false. 325 pp with engraved frontis, plus ads.The book has been re-bound in modern half calf with marbled paper-covered boards; the original spine has been laid down on the rear endpaper. There is slight water-staining in the margins of some pages, and a water-stain can be seen running along the edge of the textblock, but it does not penetrate anywhere to a great extent (see image 3 for page with maximum waterstain).
