FOUR KIPLING FIRST EDITIONS - ONE SIGNED

This lot comprises:

1. Barrack Room Ballads & Other Verses. Methuen. 1892. First edition in original maroon cloth with gilt lettering. Top edge gilt and others uncut. Contains several of his classic poems ie. Gunga Din and Mandalay. In very good condition. There is slight wear at the base of the spine and the spine is a little sunned. Internally very clean.

2. The Seven Seas. Methuen. 1896. First edition in the original maroon cloth and uniform with the above volume. Top edge gilt and others uncut. A very good copy. Spine lightly sunned and a small signature and date on the blank verso of the front free endpaper. Internally very clean and unmarked. 

3. Kim. Macmillan's Colonial Library. 1901. First reprint of the first Colonial edition published in the same year as the UK edition. In the original dark blue cloth with design in blind and gilt lettering. Signed by Kipling on the title page under his printed name which he has scored out. Slight wear at the extremes of the spine otherwise very good minus. Small ink ownership signature on the front pastedown and a second pencil signature on the front flyleaf. Internally clean and unfoxed. 

4. Traffics and Discoveries. Macmillan. 1904. First edition in the original red cloth with gilt lettering and design on the front cover. Very slight wear at the extremes of the spine and neat signature and date on the front free endpaper. Internally very clean and unfoxed.
