Four Years in Southern Africa

Bound in original half leather with leather corners over marbled paper boards. External condition is good only, but with excellent, near fine contents. The binding is well worn and aged, but the boards are still firmly attached. The contents are remarkably clean and bright with only a few scattered instances of trivial spotting. There is a full-page engraved frontispiece illustration titled "Bivouac in Kafferland". There is a bookplate on the front pastedown.
