Carpenter describes his hunting adventures on two continents. In North America, he hunted brown bear and polar bear, as well as bighorn sheep, antelope, and other game. In his 1936 safari to Kenya Colony, he relates collecting a Cape buffalo for the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia, then entering Masai territory where he bagged lion, topi and klipspringer. Near Embu southeast of Mt. Kenya, his party encountered another herd of buffalo, successfully taking a bull and rhino as well. Original textured blue cloth with gilt spine titles and gilt, colored title square on the upper boards. Cloth lightly sunned at edges. Original endpapers firm. Well illustrated with photos. This copy free of foxing, clean and tight.
