Norman ROCKWELLl (1894-1978). [Colored print of “Home for Christmas” (Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas) 1967]. [USA: undated, but c. 1967-1978]. Color-printed image (visible area: 8 ½ x 28 ¼ in; 216 x 717mm), signed in the print, with original pen and ink inscription ‘sincerely Norman Rockwell’. Matted and framed. Condition: slight waviness to print [see images, not examined out of the frame].

This beautiful print clearly sold in large numbers and is quite common – however, signed examples, as here, are becoming increasingly scarce.

The original was executed by the artist as an illustration for “Home for Christmas” which appeared in McCall’s, December 1967. It was executed in oil and acrylic on board, and measured 26 1/4 x 95 ¼ inches, and is in the permanent collection of the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge.
