Kennedy, a noted sportsman as well as a renowned officer in the Royal Navy, recounts his various naval travels and military engagements in the Crimea, China, Central America, Peru, Albania, Newfoundland, British Columbia, etc throughout his long career. He also describes his hunts for tiger in India, waterfowl and upland game in China, Vancouver, and Albania; caribou in Newfoundland, wild bulls in South America, and with additional note of fishing in various locales. Original dark blue cloth with bright gilt vignette of H.M.S. Rodney on the upper board and bright gilt spine titles. Original black endpapers firm and tight. Well illustrated with full page plates. Text block clean and square. A handsome copy.
