Black cloth-boards, gilt lettered to the spine, plain endpapers, 568 pp of prelims, text illustrated by 26 b/w plates and three maps

The overall condition is very good - complete and tight binding but with rubbed spine, very lightly sunned endpapers and occasional light text foxing (see images)
