A colour reproduction of a painting by Larionov is printed on the front cover of this limp-cover issue of Jar-Ptitza, bound with brown tape at the spine. The inside covers are plain and unfoxed. There are no endpapers. The printed back cover is rubbed and creased. The binding is cracked between pp ii/1. A 4 pp essay in German and 2 pp of advertisements on matt paper preceed the usual 32 pp gloss art main section printed in colour and b/w with inserted heavy cartridge leaves between pp 8/9 (a charcoal drawing by Serov) and 24/25 (a tipped-in colour illustration by Soudekin) + 2 pp of advertisements + 4 pp of Russian text + 2 further pp of advertisements - all unmarked and undiscoloured.
Other artists represented include Gontsharova, Brullov, Levitsky and Jakovlev. A small tipped-in illustration by Soudekin is missing from p 25, but as a bonus a loose full-page tipped-in colour reproduction of a painting by Bilibin (an artist featured in issue No 2 - Lot 159) - Oriental Woman with Parrot - is included (see the last image).
