3 volumes, 395 + 406 + 531 pages, frontispiece portrait, maps & illustrations in each volume, red cloth gilt – the spines of volumes II &III are lightly faded and there is some very light insect scarring on each volume, light foxing on the preliminary pages of volume I, signature of a previous owner on each front free endpaper, signed by H.B. Thom on the title page of volume one.
