Finnemore and others) with detailed captions beneath, red cloth bevelled boards with gilt vignette and title on the upper cove, faded gilt on the spine, starting to wear at the hinges, a good copy.

Mendelssohn (Sidney)South African Bibliography volume 2 page 377: The contents include an interesting collection of illustrations taken from photographs and drawings by military officers, war correspondents, professional and amateur photographers, &c. &c. The engravings are accompanied by letterpress notes, the whole forming an illustrated chronological history of the war.
