How it works

Half-bound in blue buckram with blue marbled paper sides, with a gilt-on-blue box-ruled title-label to the upper board, plain endpapers, 22 pp of double column text numbered 383-404 plus 2 inserted pp of 4 engravings "for Drakes Voyages" showing (1) "The Clothing and Arms of the Hottentots inhabiting the Cape of Good Hope in Africa" and "Hottentots tearing to pieces a dead ox and eating it" and (2) "The Kraals of the Hottentots" and "The Hottentots manner of attacking Wild Beasts" plus 2 inserted pp of maps "engraved for Drakes Voyages": (1) "Asia" and (2) "the East Indies".
