Nellie was Elspeth Huxley's mother and her letters represent two-thirds of the volume, with Huxley's 1885-1933 memoir taking up the first hundred pages.

Colour dust jacket, green cloth boards, gilt to the spine, plain endpapers, ix + 356 pp of text, glossary and index + 8 pp of inserted b/w illustrations + map.

CONDITION. The jacket and boards are not rubbed or chipped. The binding is tight. There is an owner signature on the front free endpaper. The contents, including the illustrations and map, are complete, otherwise unmarked and undiscoloured.

A very good copy in the dustjacket.
