[Miniature Atlas] Wallis's New Pocket Edition of the English Counties or Travellers Companion in which are carefully laid down all the direct & cross roads, cities, townes, villages, parks, seats and rivers. London: published by J. Wallis, and sold by Davies & Eldridge of Exeter, [no date, but c.1810]. 12mo (5 5/8 x 4 1/8in; 130 x 105mm). Engarved throughout: title, 'address to the public' leaf, and 44 hand-colored maps (1 double-page). (Map of Northumberland supplied from another issue, it is on thinner paper stock and ‘published by P. Martin’, clean tear to margin of ‘Cornwall’). Publisher’s blue-green half morocco, spine gilt, gilt red morocco label to upper cover “Wallis’s’ Travellers Companion 15s.” (repaired, rubbed, somewhat soiled, spine with small section lacking at head of spine). Provenance: Henry J. Wigg (inscriptions dated 1902).
