Also numerous b/w illustrations. The [1915]reprint of the New Edition, undated, of the original 1861 book. Pages [i-iv]v-viii pp 1-1997, including Analytical Index. 22 pages of advertisements in red and green, front and back endpapers. Green cloth boards with red cloth spine. Spine repaired with original binding, gilt titles and design on spine. Front cover top corner bumped and creased. No dust jacket. Book in very good condition considering its size and shape.
