Large quarto (10 5/8 x 8 1/4in; 270 x 210mm). Pp. [i-viii, 1-2]-3-83[-83-92]. (Some spotting, some leaves somewhat tattered). Original reversed calf, the covers blocked in blind with the Royal Navy stamp: a central oval containing an anchor surrounded by coiling rope (worn, spine lacking, stitching broken). Provenance: note at front ‘Rc’d 4 October 1824’ and marginal addition in the samehand to p.54; Charles Meredyth (signature to front free endpaper).
