An uncommon published album of Crown Prince Wilhelm's big game hunting trip and travel to India and Ceylon in 1910. Prince Wilhelm was the eldest son of Kaiser Wilhelm II, the last king of Germany who abdicated the throne in 1918 after World War I. This album features 51 pages on fine paper, with either one or two brown-tinted photos per recto. The younger Wilhelm traveled to India where he hunted tiger, bison, leopards, ducks, and other game with some very nice photos of the game bagged. Other photos show military maneuvers, travel by camel, visits to Benares and other sites. The black wraps feature title in script and tied with the original cord. The wraps are a bit faded near the spine. Interestingly, the proceeds of the published album were intended for the disabled veterans and survivors of the wars in German South West Africa. The title page and photo captions are in German.
