No. 3 of only 20 copies of this superb book containing 31 pages of text by Guy Butler, 12 fine original wood cuts in colour with tissue guards and 5 original wood-engravings by Cecil Skotnes. Bound in quarter Oasis goatskin with pictorial cream boards and housed in a matching brown cloth slipcase by craft bookbinder Peter Carstens. Each copy is signed by the poet and the artist on the title page and all 17 graphics are signed and numbered 3/20 by the artist. Also issued were 25 unbound copies in a box and 5 artist proof copies. However, this remains, as far as I can ascertain, the Skotnes book with the smallest limitation he ever published. The only other version of this title was a small trade paperback published the same year by David Philip.
