Powder, Spur, and Spear

This work recalls Brown's love of equestrian sports, bird shooting and salmon angling as well as big game hunting in India after panther and tiger. There is also a description of pig sticking near the Nagpore Station in the Deccan, and an encounter with an elusive barasingh in Kashmir. In addition, the author details bear hunting with a spear. Original gilt pictorial blue cloth with pig sticking vignette on upper board and gilt spine titles. Original green endpapers starting at the inner hinges. Cloth rubbed, spine ends a little frayed.
