A second edition of a rare work, first published in 1860. The author “a Presbyterian minister, was born at Futtehpoor, India, in 1826. He was educated in the mission-school there, and, on a visit to America, entered Lafayette College, Easton, Pennsylvania, but was compelled to return to his native land without graduating.
