Blue card covers drawn on to xv + 81 pp of alphabetical index of civil servants followed by Parts I (Civil Establishment) and II (Civil Service Rules and Regulations).
Virtually all-white as always, the list includes a good representation of women, who, however, are virtually all "lady clerks" and unmarried.
Apart from "Clerk of Papers" in red crayon on the front cover, this is an unmarked, undiscoloured copy of a now scarce item especially useful for those in search of long-lost grandparents or great-grandparents. Even if these can be traced through without-limits Google, the paper version remains more attractive.
These volumes tend to command prices in proportion to their age, but 1922 seems to have been a good year, and this item qualifies as a meticulous compilation.
