One of the leading ballet partnerships of the 20th century - Margot Fontein and Rudolf Nureyev - danced the title roles in the first performance of this new production by Kenneth MacMillan. The star-studded supporting cast included David Blair, Michael Somes, Anthony Dowell, Ronald Hynd and two Southern African dancers, Deanne Bergsma and Monica Mason.
