29 colour plates, including a frontispiece. 10 full size colour plates are tipped in and protected by tissue guards. The other, smaller colour plates are pasted in and surrounded by blue vignettes and related to the text. Blue border decorations and vignettes throughout the book.

Bound in tan cloth-covered boards with red, blue and gilt decorations on front cover and gilt titles on spine.

Small tear to spine head and small repaired crack to spine base. Very small dent in base of spine, shows white in photograph. Neat gift inscription on ffe. Some spotting to prelims. No damage within the book. Condition very good indeed.
