Half blue calf over cloth with gilt bands. The spine has 4 raised bands with gilt anchor device between them. The front board shows blind-stamped sailing ship. coloured frontis with tissue guard, 30 plates and 3 folding plans. All illustrations present .

Neat gift inscription. Externally worn showing wear to board on cloth edges, front and rear joints excellent, hinges strong, 3mm loss at head of spine. insect attrition to cloth. A very sound copy, contents excellent, ff age-toned, one map only has a tear close to spine. Good shelf appearance.
