Complete three volume set in French. The bindings are in brown leather with dark blue boards and vellum corners, with gilt titling on the spines and gilt rule decorations. Volume 1 has xliv prelims, 304 pages, Vol. 2 has 426 pages and Vol. 3 has 525 pages followed by 2 pages containing an index to the plates. All 22 engraved plates are present, of which 5 fold out. All three volumes are dated "L'An 3 De La Republique", 1795.
CONDITION DETAILS: The bindings are becoming fragile with cracking hinges and the lower board of volume 2 is barely hanging on a thread. There are a few soil marks and some pages, like the title page of volume 1 , are age toned/browned. Pen name on free front end papers and another name on the half title of volume 2. One of the plates is coming loose.
