In this nicely illustrated book, Buxton includes big game hunts in a variety of international venues. Of Asian focus is his hunt for a species of goat known as the pasang in the Maimun Dagh in Turkey. He also bagged red deer, ibex and wild boar in the region. Buxton enjoyed sport in numerous venues, including hunting mouflon in Sardinia and chamois in the Swiss Alps. He also stalked pasang and ibex in the Maimun Dagh in Turkey; Barbary sheep among the southern Atlas Mountains of Algeria; and bighorn sheep in Wyoming. In addition, he includes chapters on hunting ibex and izard in the Pyrenees. Original pictorial tan buckram, darkened as usual but with spine titles still legible, corners bumped. Well illustrated. Original end papers starting. A firm, tight copy.
