Sketches in the Soudan

A history of the Nile expedition of 1884-5 taken from author's diary sketch book. Each sketch is accompanied by a description of the events leading up to that sketch.

Rebacked with half-vellum bind, new end papers. Original boards are somewhat worn but vignette of camel and weapon arrangement still visible on upper cover. Some foxing in prelims and discoloration around some edges and pages but text block mostly clean.
