This, Robert Ruark's first book, may also have been his greatest. Its main theme is the Mau Mau rebellion in East Africa. It also deals with long-held customs and relations between black and white.

Blue cloth-boards with silver lettering to the spine, plain endpapers and 549 pp of prelims, text and glossary.

CONDITON. The spine is sunned and the corners are lightly bumped. Adam & Co's bookseller ticket on the front paste-down and ownership signature on the front free endpaper. Both endpapers are lightly foxed. The contents are complete, otherwise unmarked and undiscoloured, making this a very good copy, but without the dustjacket.
