 In generally fair/good condition. Cracking to spine of Vol. II and top of Vol. III. Occasional marks and smudges. Foxing on upper free endpaper of Vol. II. Scuffing to tops and bottoms of spines. Text good. Numerous beautiful coloured plates, full-page plates, portraits, maps and engravings in the text.

Vol. I - From the foundation of Cape Colony to the Boer Ultimatum of 9th Oct. 1899.

Vol. II - From the commencement of the War to the battle of Colenso, 15th Dec. 1899.

Vol III - From the battle of Colenso, 15th Dec. 1899, to Lord Roberts's advance into the Free State, 12th Feb. 1900.
