Framed reproduction of an illustration from a 1916 issue of the Illustrated London News.
The reproduction was prepared for a special issue of Report from South Africa, published in July 1966 by the South African Embassy, London, to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the Battle of Delville Wood, 15-20 July 1916.
A copy of the issue of Report from South Africa referred to was sold on a recent Antiquarian Auction.
CONDITION. The two-tone wooden frame is in very good condition. A chip in the substrate near the top left of the reproduction is shown in the second (enlarged) image.
