This is a fine copy in the colour-pictorial dustjacket. Black cloth-boards, gilt to the spine. Plain endpapers. 205 pp of colour-illustrated text printed on art paper.
The book, which may now be the single most authoritative illustrated bibliography of the Anglo-Boer war of 1899-1902, was compiled from the author's and other collections. It is, however, limited to books published in English before 1920.
For the source of and information on many of the books listed, the generous acknowledgment is very helpful.
This copy is signed by the author on the half-title page. It is one of a limited edition of 1200 copies "privately printed for P G de Lotz, military bookseller, of London".
CONDITION
The dustjacket extremities are lightly rubbed and chipped, but still present well. The cover and contents are complete and unmarked.
