Colour-illustrated paper-board slipcase, full-bound in brown calf with gilt design to upper board, five raised bands and gilt lettering to the spine, red-and-gold head- and tail-bands, gold marker ribbon, colour-illustrated endpapers, 319 pp of double-column text illustrated with colour photographs and maps, index and list of photographers.
CONDITION. Slipcase lightly chipped at head and foot of spine. The boards are as-new. The endpapers, marker ribbon and contents are complete and undiscoloured except for light sunned patches of the front free endpaper verso and half-title. There is an inscription in ink at the top of the front free endpaper verso.
It's rare to find a deluxe copy of this 43-year-old book in such good condition.
