Small long folio (25 cm) in publisher’s blue cloth, gilt titles; illustrated with many modern and vintage photographs, sketches (e.g., Port Elizabeth). List of original Albany settlers of 1820, pictures and sketches of noteworthy individuals (winners of Daily Dispatch beauty contest, governors-general). Cover somewhat sun-faded in places, pictures bright and jocund, occasionally flatulent text pulled away from staples at rear; a very good, clean copy soon to be superseded by the 2020 edition.
